Free Range: Where Heritage Meets Hope is a rockumentary style film that follows Jessica Marie Porter (Chinook) as she embarks on an epic quest to become a source of multigenerational healing within her tribal community.

Along the way, Jessica begins to unravel a legacy of pain that has been passed down from generation to generation. She rediscovers the strength embedded within her ancestry to overcome unresolved grief.

Incorporating aspects of Chinook storytelling, Free Range is structured in five parts punctuated with the poetic imagery of Jessica’s original music. The film uncovers the story of how we can heal deep trauma and become free to be who we were born to be.
